Group Notifications and Text/Voice Reminders
Group texting and voice/text reminders are very effective communication tools for both businesses and nonprofits.
Why SMS Marketing May Not Work
SMS marketing most often uses short codes, where subscribers must opt in to receive further information from your business. This allows you to send marketing messages to them.
However, very often, notifications must be sent to those who haven’t opt in, whether it be to remind them of an appointment or to send them an important message. These people usually have agreed to receive your non-marketing messages through other means. Long codes (i.e. your business phone number) are most ideal in this situation, as you can add people to your calling list with long codes, but not short codes.
Common Use Cases for Text Notifications

1. Appointment Reminders – Service firms often suffer heavily from missed appointments, resulting in $1,000s in lost business each month. If appointment reminders are made, this process can be a time consuming task for your business.
Text and voice reminders speed up the process and are much more cost efficient – major companies like Kaiser use voice reminders to inform patients of upcoming medical appointments.
2. Community/Church Notifications – Keeping in regular contact with your community helps strengthen relationships.
We have developed a separate platform for voice broadcasting and group messaging.
